Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced

Accountant

to establish and manage the financial books for our growing construction business. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in

startup accounting

, be proficient in setting up financial systems, and be able to train and guide others in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Setup & Systems Implementation:

Establish and maintain the

full set of accounts

(chart of accounts, general ledger, etc.). Implement and manage

accounting software

suitable for construction businesses. Set up proper

cost control

and

expense tracking

methods.

Bookkeeping & Reporting:

Handle

accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations

. Prepare

monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

. Monitor

cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting

to ensure financial stability. Ensure

compliance with UAE VAT regulations

and manage tax filings.

Process Development & Compliance:

Establish

internal controls and accounting policies

for financial efficiency. Ensure compliance with

UAE labor and financial regulations

. Coordinate with

auditors, tax consultants, and banks

for financial management.

Training & Support:

Train

junior accountants or admin staff

in financial procedures. Provide guidance on

billing, invoicing, and payment tracking

. Collaborate with the management team for

financial planning and decision-making

.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in

Accounting, Finance, or a related field

.

Experience:

Minimum

5 years

of experience in

startup business accounting

, preferably in

construction or contracting

.

Software Knowledge:

Expertise in

QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books, or any ERP system

.

Skills:

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to

train others

.

Language:

Proficiency in

English

(Arabic is a plus).

UAE Experience:

Familiarity with

UAE VAT and financial regulations

.

Preferred:

Experience working in a

construction startup

or a newly established company. Ability to develop

financial strategies

to support business growth.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
