Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to manage all aspects of project accounting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both project-specific accounting and conventional accounting practices, including VAT and corporate tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Accounting:
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
• Prepare project financial reports, including profit and loss statements, cost analysis, and variance reports.
• Track project costs and ensure adherence to budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting.
• Conventional Accounting:
• Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
• Tax Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and prepare VAT returns.
• Manage corporate tax filings and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation that may affect the business.
• Financial Analysis:
• Provide financial insights to support decision-making.
• Assist in the preparation of financial models and analyses for new projects.
• Identify areas for cost savings and efficiencies.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with the finance team, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial matters.
• Participate in project meetings to provide financial updates and guidance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction or design-build industry.
• Strong knowledge of VAT and corporate tax regulations.
• Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks Online is a must.
• Proficient in MS Excel and other accounting software.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
