Job Opening: General Accountant at Contracting company

Contracting Company Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled General Accountant to manage daily financial operations, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Financial Record-Keeping & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including income, expenses, payroll, and other transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements).
• Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting.

Inventory & Cost Control:

• Monitor and record inventory levels, ensuring accurate cost allocation.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Process invoices, verify expense reports, and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate tracking of payments and credits.
• Manage customer billing and follow up on overdue payments.

Payroll & Tax Compliance:

• Process payroll in compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Ensure tax compliance by preparing and submitting VAT and corporate tax returns.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.

Financial Analysis & Cost Management:

• Analyze financial data to provide insights into costs, profitability, and operational performance.
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and assist with pricing strategies.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

• Develop and enforce internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Support audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, Real estate or related industries.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 50, or similar ERP systems).
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
