We have the expertise to carry out full EPC&M services for electrical and instrumentation works and bring our intrinsic knowledge to measure and automate exploration, production, separation, refining processes, and distribution through our localized services.Job Purpose:The job holder is responsible for the projects and general accounting function including preparation of journal entries, accounts payable and projects module related events, maintenance of balance sheet schedules and accounts. The individual also assists with month end closings and VAT returns and provides support to the Chief Accountant / Finance Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance Department.Accounts Payable
Process approved Supplier Invoices on timely basis
Ensure supplier payments are released on due date
Ensure supplier reconciliation is performed on a quarterly basis
Ensure related party reconciliation is performed on a monthly basis
Ensuring physical cash is properly safeguarded
Disbursement of approved petty cash claims to the employees as per the Group Policies & Procedures
Properly posting and replenishing petty cash claims on a timely basis
Preparing Daily cash position reports
Managing the issuance, amendment and cancellation of Trade Finance Transactions (bank guarantees, letter of credits and Trust Receipts)
Preparation and filing of VAT returns on a monthly/quarterly basis Process approved Supplier Invoices on timely basis
Projects
Prepare monthly payroll allocation schedules based on the timesheets and posting relate entries
Update payroll standard allocation rates on a quarterly basis
Post monthly projects revenue events
Review projects costing sheets on a quarterly basis
Fixed Assets
Perform additions of fixed asset purchases on a timely basis
Run monthly depreciation process in the system and ensure integrity of the process
Perform periodic physical verification of fixed assets with the accounting records
General Ledger activities
Prepare monthly journal vouchers on a timely basis
Perform intercompany reconciliations on a timely basis
Assist the Chief Accountant / Finance Manager in the periodical closing activities and related reporting
Compliance
Assist the external auditors in the execution of their audit procedures
Assist the Internal auditors in the execution of their audit procedures
Assist in the preparation and filing of VAT returns on a monthly/quarterly basis
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or a fully qualified accountant.
Additional InformationExperience Requirements:
Over 5 years of general accounting UAE experience preferably within a contracting/Engineering industry.
HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
