: Portfolio Reach is a key strategic priority for GEM, at the service of accelerating our Quality Growth trajectory, and equip us to enter Chapter 3 of our journey. This role has the primary responsibility to enhance Portfolio Reach throughout the 10 Strategic Markets in GEM, at the service of driving penetration and accelerating category growth. The role will work closely with the GEM units, GEM central One Demand leaders and Global COEs to enable the units to shape their portfolio strategy based on consumer needs/demand spaces, trends and the competitive context. He/she will also work with the markets to enable the delivery of the portfolio strategy, by step changing key portfolio and innovation capabilities, and deploying the relevant tools and metrics at scale. This also includes the Snacking Category Growth Strategy based on Demand Spaces. He/she will also identify and drive scaling opportunities for portfolio and innovation across GEM, as well as accelerate cross-unit strategic portfolio solutions. He/she will also work closely with Global COE\xe2\x80\x99s, driving GEM needs and mobilizing the right resources to guarantee flawless execution. All while driving innovation sufficiency and an efficiency mindset via a leaner portfolio and fewer, bigger and better initiatives. Another key aspect of the role is to be the GEM Sustainability & Wellbeing liaison, by working closely with the respective leaders of these areas to define the GEM ambition and establish a path to deliver it. This role will be a critical member of the GEM One Demand team and will create a community for Portfolio and Innovation leaders in GEM to accelerate capability deployment and to enable the exchange learnings, best practice, and the solving of common challenges.
What are we looking for?
Education & Professional Qualifications
Minimal BS/BA degree.
Advanced training (obtained either outside or inside) in Portfolio Management, Consumer Insights and Innovation Management.
Knowledge / Experience
15+ years experience, primarily in Marketing, with experience in Sales, Innovation and R&D as a plus.
Senior CBU and Portfolio management experience, with demonstrated ability and desire to work with people, both individuals as well as in teams.
Strong project management skills.
Strong ability of influencing without authority both up and down the organization
What will be your key responsibilities?
Lead the development and deployment of the GEM Portfolio Strategy, roadmap and implementation:
Work closely with the GEM units, GEM central One Demand leaders and Global COEs to enable the units to shape their portfolio strategy based on consumer needs/demand spaces, trends and the competitive context.
Deploy the One Demand Portfolio and Innovation specific capabilities in GEM \xe2\x80\x93 including the Snacking Category Growth Strategy based on Demand Spaces.
Embed the overall One Demand capabilities in Portfolio and Innovation \xe2\x80\x93 Growth Philosophy, Flywheel, and Demand Spaces.
Work with the markets to enable the delivery of their portfolio strategies.
Act as the GEM Sustainability & Wellbeing liaison, by working closely with the respective leaders of these areas to define the GEM ambition and establish a path to deliver it.
Identify cross GEM portfolio and innovation scaling opportunities via strategic programs and initiatives. Accordingly, partner with the units to support and accelerate the delivery of these strategic initiatives, measuring progress with an aligned process and agreed metrics.
Work closely with Global COE\xe2\x80\x99s, driving GEM needs and mobilizing the right resources to guarantee flawless execution. This includes working closely with the units to understand and define white space and innovation opportunities, as well as contracting with the relevant stakeholders on resources needed for delivery.
Drive innovation sufficiency and an efficiency mindset via a leaner portfolio and fewer, bigger and better initiatives. This includes working closely with the units to set portfolio health metrics, as well as standardizing, analyzing, and reporting the metrics to ensure visibility and governance.
Create a community for Portfolio and Innovation leaders in GEM to accelerate capability deployment and to enable the exchange learnings, best practice, and the solving of common challenges.
Act as the GEM product lifecycle management representative (SPOC) to the globe and best practice leader to the GEM growth project management community. This includes the MW Global QuEST and PPM forums.
