ROLE SUMMARY Maximize the potential of the AstraZeneca CVRM Specialty across GCC, through professional and successful working relationship with internal and external customers. Manage the promotion, launch excellence, pricing, and positioning of the products in the relevant therapeutic portfolio, development of a disease area vision and strategy, effective resource allocation, to optimize sales and profits. Strategize, and implement the marketing plan. The Senior Brand Manager will work very closely with the Marketing Head to deploy and adapt the AZ brand strategy to the local market, including tactics and execution. The role will be either based in Saudi (Riyadh) or UAE (Dubai), with travel requirement across the GCC. The role is reporting to GCC Marketing Head CVRM Specialty - New Launches What youll do Operational Brand Management & Customer Excellence
Ensures launch readiness and planning of key activities pre/post launch. Builds solid marketing mix through delivery of appropriate channels.
Fully accountable for building & driving the brand strategy aligned with global strategy and local market dynamics.
Develop robust understanding of the patient journey to design tailored programs tackling the gaps within, with special attention to patient finding activities.
Participate in the development of the Business Action Plan in close collaboration with the Marketing Head.
Drives the full implementation of the operational Business Action Plan in close collaboration with the key functional team members.
Keeps the Business Action Plan updated, implement the plan to ensure that Brand objectives are realized, including revising the Segmentation & Targeting to ensure full coverage /expansion of target list as per marketing strategy.
Leads the operational roll-out of the pre-agreed strategic and operational plan (campaign task force, monthly implementation meetings).
Identify potential new market insight and collaborate with Market Intelligence to leverage all important market data to refine action plans or to prioritize activities.
Develop and understand market research principles/sources/tools/methodology.
Leads forecast during business planning process, Work with local data to contribute to forecasting models. Input to market research plan and monitors KPIs for brand dashboard
Manage resources - P&L.
Communication & Promotion
Develop all campaign material and all the briefing documents to ensure maximum impact.
Actively contribute in collaboration with the brand team to ensure alignment with strategy the following activities as required: Advisory boards, round tables or other expert meetings, National symposia/ WebEx/ Webcast/ Virtual summit, Launch meetings.
Be actively involved in the organization of regional and national sales meetings/business reviews as required.
Ensure full compliance of material / activities with ethical and Code of Ethics (demonstrate and ensure active respect for values, business ethics, local laws, policies, and marketing procedures).
Propose Budget spend on the defined territory & responsible for accurate budget management.
Briefing and selection of agency and review performance of agency and costs.
Stakeholders management
Build relationships with key internal / external stakeholders.
Leads Brand Team, developing and implementing plans for KEE development & marketing strategy implementation.
Cooperates with TA team to empower sales force, strengthening their capacity to implement business strategy. Though: field visits at regular intervals to gain insight on current and future marketing initiatives and ensure correct product information is delivered, providing training to the team on the promotional materials and product strategy, addresses their concerns or questions regarding brand strategy and promotional materials.
Report on the status of implementation of the tactical plan to internal customers.
Proactive assessment of brand performance, proposing needed actions to tap on opportunities, working without supervision, successfully addressing outstanding challenges of marketing strategy implementation.
Establish and maintain quality and trustful contacts within the relevant medical community, with opinion leaders, influencers, and deciders, in compliance with local requirements: have frequent contact with field team, HCP and KOLs

Minimum of 3 years Marketing experience (demonstrated ability to network, build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and ability to work cross-functionally)
Specialty, or rare disease experience.
Strong experience in launching new brands and a proven history of success.
Significant commercial experience with a strong performance track record.
Project Management experience, and strong organizational skills with a quality focus on Analysis & Planning.
Leadership & autonomy to initiate & execute responsibility under minimum guidance.
Proven inspirational leadership when working with stakeholders on guidance, alignment & commitment.
Financial business acumen and experience of working with various forecasting models.
Communication and influence skills, decision Making, assertiveness.
Ability to handle setbacks & working in new environment, showing clear examples of resiliency.
Patient centricity - being passionate about really understanding patients, their attitudes to health, and who they interact with/are influenced by along the patient journey - to ensure patient needs are at the heart of decision-making.
Translate information into actionable insight - rigorously analysing and synthesising multiple sources of information to uncover powerful new insights that can be applied to create business advantage, both now and in the future
Define winning brand strategies - choosing the most promising brand opportunities and associated priority target audiences. Developing ambitious strategies to overcome barriers to success and truly build the brand.
Desirable for the role
Advanced degree(s) in business or science.
Rare disease experience, preferably in different sub-specialties, Geneticists/Neuro/Cardio disorders with complex ecosystems (patients, healthcare providers, systems, payer).
Engage with Broader organization - understanding broad business operations and optimizing relationships with cross-functional teams to inspire and mobilize them behind the experience plan.
GCC Experience is preferred.
