\xc2\xb7 Ensure all tools and machinery are stored properly at the end of each shift.The Gauge mans primary function is to adjust the screed height on the paving machine to ensure proper depth, grade, and finish. The Gauge man is also responsible for ensuring the consistency of the asphalt mat and the overall ride quality of the finished pavement. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position requires strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls, tools, and other items used to adjust and/or minor maintenance. Job requirements:
- \xc2\xb7 Operate feeders, flow gates and augers to regulate the flow of material at a specified rate.
- \xc2\xb7 Install and remove auto paving electronics.
- \xc2\xb7 Cleans excess asphalt off the paver.
