Job Description

We are looking for a furniture Upholster who has experience in upholstery, cutting, stitching, & finishing fixing to join our team at our furniture warehouse at DIP.

The ideal candidate will have experience in upholstery techniques and a keen eye for detail. They will play a crucial role in ensuring that our furniture is upholstered to the highest standards, meeting both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Responsibilities :

Upholster a variety of furniture pieces including sofas, chairs, ottomans and other upholstered items according to design specifications and quality standards.

Fabric cutting, sewing, and assembling fabric materials to cover furniture frames.

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make any necessary adjustments or repairs.

Add foam filling, cushions and paddings when necessary

Collaborate with designers and other team members to ensure timely completion of items given.

Requirements :

Experience as an Upholsterer or similar role, preferably in a furniture manufacturing setting.

Proficiency in upholstery techniques, including fabric cutting, sewing, and pattern matching.

Knowledge of different upholstery materials and their characteristics.

Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy furniture pieces.

Upholding high standards of safety in the workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with a variety of upholstery materials, including leather, fabric

Familiarity with industrial sewing machines and other upholstery tools and equipment.

Vocational training or certification in upholstery or a related field is a plus
