Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Carpenter you are responsible to construct, erect, install and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood and wallboard using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

• Fix shelving and cabinet construction.
• Fixing various types of windows and glazing.
• Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools
• Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in houses and buildings, using paint, hand tools and paneling
• Fill cracks and other defects in plaster or plasterboard and sand patch, using patching plaster, trowel and sanding tool.
• Carry out all works as per the country technical regulations and safety standards

Requirements:

Knowledge in Manufacturing technique including squaring edges, gluing/applying veneers

Furniture, fixation of wooden doors, wardrobes and kitchen cabinets also constructs, repairs, restores, and installs structures such as floors, doors, walls, windows, stairways, furniture, cabinets, shelves, roofs etc.

Furniture Fitter MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), Formica and Plywood. Must have knowledge of drawings sizes machinery tools and other carpentry equipment

Minimum of 3 to 5 years site experience with age between 25 to max 35

Physical stamina and dexterity for manual labor.
