AVL Maroc SARL AU offers a job in Morocco (MA) as Functional Safety Engineer

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define functional safety requirements for systems and components. Develop safety concepts, strategies, and mechanisms to address potential hazards and mitigate risks. Perform in-depth Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to identify and prioritize failure modes. Design and implement safety mechanisms, including fail-safe mechanisms, and diagnostic features. Create safety documentation, including safety requirements specifications, safety case reports, and technical design documents. Define and execute safety validation and verification plans to ensure compliance with safety standards and requirements. Development of test plans, definition of test specifications and test execution Interface to Software and Hardware development

YOUR PROFILE:

Engineering degree in electromechanics or related field. Over 3 years of proven experience in functional safety engineering, particularly in automotive sector. Familiarity with relevant functional safety standards like ISO 26262 or FMVSS, and their practical application. Strong Knowledge of ICE, EV and xHEV vehicles systems. Skilled in hazard analysis, risk assessment, FMEA, and fault tree analysis. Familiarity with safety requirements, concepts, and mechanisms. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a collaborative team player. Effective communication skills to manage communication with the different stakeholders of the project. Familiarity with ANSYS MEDINI is a plus. ISO 26262 Functional Safety Professional certification is a plus. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
