Job Description

A lovely family of 3 living in Dubai is seeking a professional English speaking nanny to help care for their 3-year-old son and second child who is due in June 2024. The family spends roughly half the year in Dubai and the other half in a town close to Geneva, Switzerland. The schedule is to be determined but will be 5 days per week, with 10-12 hour days.

Nursery duties will include, but are not limited to, anything related to childcare. The nanny will also be responsible for cooking meals for their son, and starting the weaning process when the time comes for the new baby. It is important that the nanny have previous newborn care and toddler experience to encourage and help the children to meet their educational milestones, develop their social skills, and generally be a positive influence in the children's lives. The nanny will encourage their sons knowledge of numbers, phonics, promote a love of reading, and understanding of manners and boundaries, thus helping him to prepare for starting school in 2025. It would be great if the nanny could be proactive and organise a routine and other fun learning activities. The family have a love for and are really focused on outdoor activities and would like the candidate to be like-minded.

When in Dubai the nanny would be provided with their own apartment, as well as a car for their own personal use. When travelling with the children though they would use a private car. Whilst in Switzerland the nanny would live-in with the family, having their own bedroom/bathroom in the basement apartment, and have use of a separate entrance.

The parents both work from home, and are very involved in their sons life during the day, so it's important for the nanny to be comfortable with this dynamic. There are also 2 housekeepers who take care of the day-to-day running of the home.

The nanny is to start before May 1st. The family will provide the nanny with a residents visa, international medical insurance, 30 days annual leave, and a salary of between 20,000-25,000 AED per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
