We are seeking a passionate and creative Fine Arts Teacher to join our dynamic art studio immediately. This role involves teaching art, designing innovative lesson plans and curricula, engaging with the community through social media, and providing regular feedback to students. Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Instruction
Plan and deliver engaging art lessons across various mediums, such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
Teach art history, art theory and art concepts, including color theory, perspective, composition, and design principles.
Provide individualized instruction and constructive feedback to students of all skill levels.
Foster a creative and supportive learning environment for students of all ages.
Lesson Planning and Curriculum Design
Develop detailed lesson plans that align with the studio's vision and goals.
Design curricula that incorporate various artistic techniques, mediums, and contemporary trends.
Continuously evaluate and update lesson plans to ensure they remain fresh, engaging, and relevant.
Student Engagement and Feedback
Provide weekly feedback to students and their families, highlighting progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
Offer personalized recommendations to support students' artistic development.
Content Creation and Community Engagement
Creating and participating in engaging social media content, including posts, photos, and videos, to showcase student work, promote classes, and highlight studio events.
Collaborate with the studio team to develop a content calendar and maintain a strong online presence.
Create short art process videos for weekly student feedbacks
Teach and Instruct and participate in events or outdoor short workshops with the studio team
Studio Operations and Events
Organize and oversee art exhibitions, workshops, and community art events.
Organize and maintain art materials and teaching area to be clean, tidied and prepared for classes
Maintain the studio space, ensuring it is clean, safe, and well-stocked with supplies.
Stay informed about current art trends and techniques to inspire students and enhance the curriculum.
Working Hours:
Standard Schedule and Studio Opening Hours:
Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Extra shifts may be required for special classes, workshops, or events.
Administrative tasks (e.g., lesson planning, feedback writing, and social media content creation) can include remote work opportunities when applicable.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience teaching art, curriculum design, and lesson planning in a studio, school, or similar setting.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in various art mediums and tools; familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools.
Creativity:
Ability to design innovative curricula and inspire artistic exploration among students.
Communication:
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills for teaching, feedback, and social media content creation.
Organization:
Excellent time-management skills for lesson planning, providing feedback, and maintaining an online presence.
Language:
Must be proficient in English (Proficiency in Chinese, Mandarin is also preferable)
