Job Purpose
Prepare and execute all outage activities associated with Reactor Vessel Disassembly, Reactor Core Fuel remove, Shuffling, and reload, Spent Fuel Pool Fuel movements and non-outage fuel movement such as new fuel receipt and storage activities in accordance to Nawah standards and procedures.
Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability
Fuel Handling management team and OCC the work progress status so that adjustments to the overall schedule can be made with as much advance notice as possible and that Recovery Plans are developed and implemented if the critical path schedule starts to be impacted.
• Follow and adhere to ALARA plans and implement recovery plans when ALARA Goals are challenged or exceeded.
• Coordinate, monitor and communicate with the OCC, Operations, Maintenance, contractors, Radiation Safety, polar crane operators and the Containment Specialists to ensure smooth flow of work, adherence to the critical path schedules and strict focus on Nuclear and industrial safety in accordance to Nawah standards and procedures.
• Support the lessons learned activities to ensure continuous improvement in containment outage work management.

• Support the ERO, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support.

Reactor Vessel Disassembly and Reassembly and Fuel Movement
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Prepare and execute the following outage activities in accordance to Nawah standards and procedures:
o Fuel Receipt including the unloading and storage of the fuel shipping cask as well as the fuel handling, inspection and storage of the fuel assemblies.
o Initial Fuel Loading including, the handling of the neutron source, the calibration of the neutron flux monitoring, inspection and interlock tests of the fuel handling equipment, FME, installation of underwater lightings into the reactor core, transfer of the dummy fuel assembly to the RCB and repositioning of the temporary fuel load channel.
o Reactor Pressure Vessel (IHA) Integrated Head Assembly Disassembly & Re-assembly including vessel internals such as Upper Guide Structure (UGS) & Core Support Barrel (CSB).
o Removal and re-Installation of components such as but not limited to pressure boundary, push and pull cables, 54 Reactor Vessel-Stud bolts and plugs, stud hole inspection & plug installation.
o Core Loading & Unloading
o Management of Fuel Handling Systems and Equipment, including inspection, testing and maintenance of third-party certificates for the lifting and rigging equipment/accessories.
o Management and maintenance of FHA overhead crane and RCB Polar crane.
o Management of special tools and materials.
o Prepare the required documentation for the required work package including Work Order, Job Hazard Analysis, Work Method Statement, Final Report, etc.
o Development and improvement based on OE of all fuel handling equipment related procedures
o Support and oversee the inspection and repair of fuel handling equipment
o Perform the Foreign object search and retrieval (FOSAR) for the Fuel Handling Area and Reactor Refueling Pool.
• Contribute to plans development and schedules optimization of reacot vessel disassembly and reassembly activities.
• Support the availability of all infrastructure requirements (power, air, cooling, lighting, water filters, shielding, etc) to ensure that when the activities are ready to work, work can be performed.
• Maintain overall refuel floor and spent fuel building cleanliness via approved Foreign Materials Exclusion (FME) programs to ensure successful FME prevention and facilitate Containment inspection closure.
• Coordinate between all containment working departments, vendor organizations and the Outage Control Center (OCC) as necessary to maintain schedule performance.
• Report to Fuel Handling management team potential areas of schedule or performance risk in relation to Reactor Vessel and Fuel movement works to the Head of Containment and OCC Management so that mitigation strategies can be identified proactively.
• Ensure that personnel working on reactor vessel and fuel movement activities understand the overall OCC priorities, schedule priorities and expectations to minimize un-necessary delays.

Qualifications
QualificationMin: o Diploma
• 2 years of relevant experience.
QualificationMax: o 3 years of relevant experience, of which:
2 years in Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) Nuclear Power Plant experience at an operational site and or Advanced Pressurized water Reactor APR-1400, Open Pool Reactor (OPR)-1000 or Combustion
Engineering Nuclear Steam Supply System (CE NSSS) Design, Work Management or Outage Management experience, as applicable for position.
