Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Fruite Picker. In this role, you will assist in harvesting fruit in our orchard, ensuring that only the highest quality produce is selected. This is a physically demanding job that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic. - Harvest fruit in accordance with established guidelines and procedures
- Inspect fruit for quality and remove any damaged or unsuitable produce
- Operate hand tools, such as pruning shears and picking poles, to reach and gather fruit from trees
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the orchard, including picking up fallen fruit and debris
- Sort and pack harvested fruit into designated containers for transportation
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets
- Follow all safety protocols and comply with relevant regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Physically fit with the ability to work long hours standing and bending
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize and remove damaged fruit
- Excellent hand-eye coordination to operate hand tools effectively
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of farming practices and familiarity with fruit varieties
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment
