We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Front Desk Supervisor

to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a Front Desk Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring exceptional guest service and smooth workflows. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of hotel operations, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:



Supervise and support front desk staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management. Ensure efficient and professional check-in and check-out processes for guests. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally. Monitor and maintain front desk operations to ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures. Manage room reservations, cancellations, and room assignments to optimize occupancy and revenue. Oversee cash handling, billing, and financial transactions at the front desk. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, maintenance, and management) to ensure seamless guest experiences. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area. Address and resolve any operational issues or emergencies that may arise. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security protocols.

Qualifications:



Minimum of

4 years of experience

in the hotel industry, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong knowledge of front desk operations, property management systems (PMS), and reservation software. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. High level of professionalism and a customer-focused attitude. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Post-secondary education in hospitality, tourism, or a related field is an asset.

Employment Requirements (Based on NOC 62022):



Completion of secondary school is required. Post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in the hotel industry is required. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Proficiency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an asset.
