Position Overview:
The Freight Sales & Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in freight logistics. This role will focus on growing the client base, promoting the company's logistics services, and building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in freight sales, a comprehensive understanding of the logistics industry, and a strong drive for achieving targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales & Business Development:
• Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in the air and ocean freight sectors.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and grow market share.
• Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to prospective clients.
• Market Analysis & Strategy:
• Conduct market research to identify potential clients and assess competitor activities.
• Monitor industry trends and developments to stay ahead of market changes and provide clients with relevant solutions.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and refine sales strategies and tactics.
• Client Relationship Management:
• Serve as the main point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Regularly meet with clients to review their logistics needs and propose tailored solutions.
• Ensure that all client inquiries and requests are responded to promptly and professionally.
• Coordination & Communication:
• Work closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of logistics services.
• Communicate client requirements and expectations clearly to internal teams.
• Coordinate with air and ocean carriers, customs brokers, and other third-party providers to ensure smooth cargo movement.
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and other documentation as required by management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, and contract details.
Qualifications:
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience in the logistics industry, specifically in air and ocean freight.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
• Strong network of contacts within the logistics and freight forwarding industry.
• Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of air and ocean freight operations, including customs regulations, documentation, and carrier options.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
