Dubai, UAE SALARY: 18,000 AED - 18,000 AED PER: Month TERM: PermanentOur client, a leading player in the oil and gas trading industry, is seeking an experienced Freight Manager to oversee the transportation of oil products from production facilities to various destinations, including refineries, storage facilities, and end customers. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee the transportation of oil products, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to refineries, storage facilities, and end customers.
Optimization: Analyze and optimize freight routes, schedules, and methods to enhance cost-effectiveness and efficiency in the transportation process.
Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities comply with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Supplier and Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the transportation process and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including production teams, suppliers, and customers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight management, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
In-depth knowledge of oil transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master\'s degree in a related field.
Professional certifications in logistics or supply chain management.
Experience with international oil transportation and logistics.
Work Environment:
May require working outside regular business hours to address urgent logistics issues.
