Our newest opportunity is for a talented Freight Business Expert to join our team, based in Doha, Qatar.
We envisage success in this role to include; Lead the development of a Rail Freight Business Plan, supported by the Stakeholder Manager for Freight Business Activities and the Freight Expert. Perform a Market Study to determine potential freight types and volumes. Advise and Support the Stakeholder Manager for Freight Business Activities in discussions with potential future clients. Develop individual commercial models for potential future freight clients. Support the Freight Expert in defining high-level employer requirements. Support preparation of tender documents or any other documents required in the procurement process.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10+ years within international transport and logistics holdings providing railway services as a core business. Development of policy and strategy documents, business plans for state-owned railway enterprises with focus on freight and logistics.Financial models for state-owned and private railway enterprises.Market studies based on desk research and field research, demand analysis by commodity types, partnered with Master in Industrial Engineering, Master in Transport Economics, or equivalent.
Detailed knowledge of railway operations processes withing GCC network (core processes of a railway undertaking, infrastructure manager, terminal operator, intermodal operator). Knowledge and experience with Arabian Gulf Stakeholder engagement. Ideally previously working in freight related projects in Qatar and/ or the GCC. Excellent skills MS Office.
