Control all freight documents
Update shipping and accounting software
Instruct treasury to process payments
Display top-notch customer service skills as you answer inbound inquiries from clients and carriers and build relationships with customer accounting contacts.
Learn each customer\'s invoicing portal and develop processes to maximize collections and minimize billing discrepancies.
Proactively research payment details and reach out to clients as needed.
Pull weekly reports and distribute them for internal consumption.
Strive to meet and exceed aging goals on a consistent basis.
Settle payments with customers, keeping sales reps informed every step of the way.
Resolve payment disputes thoroughly, involving management when appropriate.
Identifying and contacting prospective customers to promote logistical services and negotiate contracts.
Execute administrative tasks, including document uploading and retrieval.
Requirements:
Good understanding of accounting and finance principles.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Previous experience in shipping and logistics will be advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with teamwork & collaboration attitudes.
Good analytical skills.
Superb organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
