We are a leading Middle East-based distributor and solution provider of pro-audio systems, public address systems, musical instruments, and related AV equipment.

With over three decades of industry experience, we represent multiple international brands across various product segments--serving channel partners such as resellers, system integrators, event production companies, and venue managers. Our operations span multiple sales channels, including physical shops, e-commerce, and a specialized project sales team.

We are currently undergoing an overall strategic and operational restructuring aimed at driving market leadership for our two distinct business divisions: (a) Distribution (Product Sales) and (b) Projects (Services).

Role Overview

We are seeking a Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to serve on a part-time consultant basis, dedicating a set number of hours per week or month. This individual will develop a comprehensive marketing strategy and ensure its execution across both divisions--focusing on driving growth, enhancing our brand image, and optimizing our overall marketing operations and ROI.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Planning & Alignment Develop a unified marketing strategy for both divisions that aligns with the company's overall goals and revenue objectives, without explicitly defining the revenue targets. Identify new growth opportunities (e.g., pivoting certain offerings to B2B, exploring expansion in underdeveloped regional markets). Integrate strategic frameworks to ensure the marketing approach is both differentiated and profitable. Brand Positioning & Differentiation Refine brand messaging across the two divisions (Distribution vs. Projects & Services) to create a compelling, unique market position. Develop brand assets and guidelines that yield consistent messaging across all channels (online, offline, partnerships). Demand Generation & Go-to-Market Execution Oversee lead-generation efforts, focusing on both new business development and existing customer segments. Optimize digital channels (including relevant online marketplaces and direct e-commerce) to reduce reliance on intermediaries and maximize profitability. Evaluate and realign the marketing mix (traditional vs. digital) to ensure each channel is measured with clear performance metrics. Sales & Marketing Integration Collaborate with account managers or the equivalent commercial teams to align on revenue objectives, product/pricing strategies, and ensure key accounts receive the right marketing support (campaigns, presentations, etc.). Design the end-to-end customer journey and ensure its execution across divisions (Distribution, Projects & Services) by establishing processes, training, and CRM utilization, thereby transforming historically minimal marketing efforts into a consistent and effective program. Team Development & Leadership Re-structure the marketing execution team and efforts--including defining hiring needs and selecting third-party agencies or freelancers--to optimize for cost efficiency, ROI, and alignment with current budgets. Coach and mentor internal marketing staff, ensuring knowledge transfer and alignment with strategic objectives. Act as a bridge between executive leadership and day-to-day marketing execution, keeping the organization focused on high-priority initiatives.
Qualification Criteria

We are seeking a senior marketing professional with at least 15 years of proven experience in strategic marketing leadership, ideally in industries similar to ours (distribution, project-based services, B2B sales). Key Skills & Experience

Minimum 15 years in developing and executing marketing strategies across multiple business lines. Strong understanding of B2B/B2B2C Distribution and Project/Services marketing. Adept at guiding teams through organizational shifts or restructuring, particularly where marketing efforts have been historically fragmented. Experience balancing brand-building initiatives with immediate revenue objectives, especially in technical or solution-based industries. Demonstrable success in creating ROI-focused digital campaigns, marketing automation setups, and e-commerce strategies. Proficiency in leveraging analytics tools to measure, optimize, and scale performance. Results-driven approach to setting measurable goals and KPIs Ability to thrive in a family-owned or entrepreneurial environment, operating effectively within budget constraints and resource limitations.

Possible Immediate Tasks & Projects

Comprehensive Marketing Audit Evaluate current marketing channels and campaigns for both Distribution and Projects & Services to identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities. Brand Realignment Develop a unified brand structure that clearly differentiates (a) Distribution and (b) Projects & Services while maintaining an overarching company identity. Digital Footprint Overhaul Assess current online presence, including websites and any listings on leading online marketplaces. Create a plan to reduce reliance on third-party intermediaries where margins are excessively reduced. Organization & Resource Planning Build a resource plan for in-house marketing roles vs. outsourced support (agencies, freelancers). Create clear SOPs for content creation, campaign execution, and performance tracking. Sales Alignment Workshops Facilitate sessions between sales and marketing to clarify value propositions, refine messaging, and standardize approaches to client outreach.
