We are currently seeking an ambitious and qualified candidate with the following attributes to join our Dubai office as a member of our senior team.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will possess technical knowledge of financial accounting practices and be able to demonstrate experience (commensurate with the applicable employment grade) with the following:
• Lead the forensic accounting team in the execution of investigations into fraud, financial misreporting, or financial irregularities.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff.
• Plan and conduct forensic audits to detect and investigate financial irregularities, fraud schemes, or misstatements in financial statements.
• Analyse complex financial data to identify discrepancies, trace asset movements, and uncover financial misconduct.
• Prepare detailed reports on findings and provide clear recommendations for corrective actions.
• Work with legal and regulatory teams to provide expert testimony and support during litigation processes.
• Stay informed on evolving laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to forensic accounting and fraud prevention.
• Drive continuous improvement within the forensic accounting function by implementing new tools, techniques, and technologies to enhance investigation efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay current on trends in financial fraud and forensic accounting methodologies.
• Business development responsibilities, focusing on expanding client relationships and driving growth.
• Travelling may be required.
Requirements
• Batchelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, Law or other Business-related discipline preferred.
• CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Law or other Business-related discipline preferred.
• CA, CPA or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years relevant experience in forensic accounting or financial investigations.
• Proven track record of business development. Enhanced packages will be considered for those able to win business.
• Proven track record of leading all aspects of engagements.
• Proven experience conducting complex financial investigations, fraud detection, and risk management.
• Experience with financial litigation, regulatory bodies, and working with external legal counsel is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of forensic accounting principles, financial fraud detection techniques, and audit methodologies.
• Ability to communicate complex financial issues to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen, autonomous, entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong analytic skills, problem-solving and investigative skills.
• Experience in cross-border matters would be advantageous.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English, including both technical and business writing.
• Ability to speak and write Arabic, Kazakh, Russian or Mandarin are advantageous.
