Position: Foreman - Crane Mechanic
Reports to: Maintenance Manager/Project Manager

Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Crane Mechanic Foreman to lead a team of mechanics responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting cranes, including EOT, tower cranes, and similar equipment. The Foreman will oversee daily operations, ensure adherence to safety standards, and provide technical guidance to the team. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work in demanding environments, including at heights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership and Supervision:
• Coordinate and supervise the activities of a team of crane mechanics.
• Assign tasks based on team members' skills and the operational needs of the project.
• Train and mentor mechanics to ensure skill development and adherence to procedures.
• Maintenance and Repair Oversight:
• Oversee routine maintenance and repair work on various types of cranes.
• Ensure that all repairs, adjustments, and inspections are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.
• Assist mechanics in diagnosing complex mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical issues.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Enforce safety protocols, ensuring all team members adhere to regulations and use appropriate PPE.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to maintain a culture of safety.
• Verify that all crane operations comply with OSHA, ANSI, and other applicable standards.
• Inspections and Testing:
• Oversee and participate in load testing, operational checks, and inspections of cranes.
• Ensure all inspection documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Address and resolve deficiencies identified during inspections.
• Planning and Coordination:
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure project deadlines are met.
• Coordinate with site managers, operators, and other stakeholders to address crane-related issues.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and materials required for maintenance tasks.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Review and maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections completed by the team.
• Provide detailed reports to management on equipment conditions, team performance, and operational needs.
• Recommend improvements or upgrades to crane systems and maintenance practices.
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience as a Crane Mechanic, with proven expertise in EOT, RTG, tower cranes, or similar equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Comfortable working at significant heights and in challenging environments.
Preferred Skills:
• Certification in crane maintenance or supervisory roles.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Welding, fabrication, and rigging experience are a plus.
Work Environment:
• Industrial, construction, or port settings with exposure to outdoor conditions.
• May involve climbing, working at heights, and lifting heavy components.
• Occasional travel to job sites or on-call availability may be required.
