Shuttering Carpenters
Build, assemble, and install shuttering formwork for concrete foundations, walls, columns, beams, and slabs.
Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create accurate formwork.
Measuring and Cutting Materials:
Measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, or other materials to construct the formwork.
Ensure that all measurements are precise and follow building codes and safety standards.
Erection and Removal of Shuttering:
Erect formwork structures for the pouring of concrete.
Ensure formwork is securely fixed and can withstand the pressure of wet concrete.
Safely dismantle and remove formwork once the concrete has set.
Maintenance of Tools and Equipment:
Maintain and care for carpentry tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Operate heavy equipment, such as scaffolding, cranes, or hoists, if required, for placing and removing shuttering.
Workplace Safety:
Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while working on site.
Use appropriate safety gear and follow all health and safety protocols to prevent accidents.
