The Food Service Supervisor oversees and directs overall restaurant operations. The ideal candidate is an energetic leader capable of inspiring and training a customer-oriented team while ensuring operational excellence in all areas. This role includes managing inventory, orders, and financial systems while serving as the point person for marketing initiatives.
The candidate must be flexible to work various shifts, remain calm under pressure, and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration. This position requires the candidate to be willing to migrate and work in Canada and have proficiency in both English and French.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct daily restaurant operations.
Train and mentor employees to deliver exceptional customer service.
Communicate changes in food preparation formulas, standards, and procedures to staff.
Ensure compliance with local and national health and food safety codes as well as company safety policies.
Analyze business records to optimize sales and maintain records as outlined in operational manuals.
Support local and national marketing initiatives.
Prepare or assemble ingredients required for standard recipes, including meat, fish, and poultry.
Identify and contact prospective customers to promote sales.
Plan special events and promotions.
Organize stock and equipment, order supplies, and oversee cleanliness and security.
Manage budgets to maximize profits and meet sales targets.
Establish work schedules and recruit new team members.
Train and develop staff on sanitation and safety procedures.
Resolve customer complaints and queries effectively.
Prepare reports and performance analyses.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (10+2).
Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related discipline, or several years of experience in food preparation or service.
At least 3 years of food service management experience or comparable experience.
Experience in a fast-food chain (McDonald's, Pizza Hut etc.) is prefered
Open availability, including evenings and weekends.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to supervise 5-7 staff members in various restaurant areas.
Attention to detail and ability to coach on safety and sanitation procedures.
Ability to work in various physical conditions (standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, etc.).
Must be fluent in both French and English.
Willingness to migrate and work in Canada.
