Majid Al Futtaim Retail is seeking an experienced FMCG Category Manager to oversee the selection, procurement, and strategic management of FMCG product categories. The role is responsible for coordinating with buyers, sourcing high-quality products, and ensuring optimal stock levels to enhance profitability and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to maintain desired stock levels and ensure product availability.
- Research and identify new suppliers, negotiating long-term cost-saving agreements and quality improvements.
- Source the best quality products at competitive prices, aligning with the company's strategic objectives.
- Execute negotiation strategies to secure profitable supplier agreements and partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure business continuity.
- Assess risks associated with supply contracts and provide recommendations for long-term procurement sustainability.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to identify new product trends and supplier opportunities.
- Monitor spending and implement cost-control measures to enhance procurement efficiency.Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in FMCG category management, particularly in fresh food.
- Strong business communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities, with a strong aptitude for working with numbers.
