As a Flight Instructor, you will be responsible for training and guiding students to develop the skills and knowledge required to become proficient pilots. Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality flight instruction, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining aircraft readiness for flight training.
Key Responsibilities:
Flight Training:
• Provide individual and group flight training to students, covering both ground and in-flight instruction.
• Teach students about aircraft systems, navigation, aviation regulations, and flight operations.
• Ensure students meet required proficiency standards and are prepared for flight exams and certifications.
• Conduct pre-flight briefings, in-flight training, and post-flight debriefings to review student progress.
Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure that all training activities are conducted in full compliance with aviation safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, flight hours, and other required documentation.
• Conduct pre-flight inspections of training aircraft to ensure they are in safe operational condition.
Aircraft Management:
• Work closely with the maintenance team to monitor and ensure the airworthiness of training aircraft.
• Address any technical issues or concerns related to aircraft systems and assist in the preparation of aircraft for training sessions.
Student Development and Support:
• Offer constructive feedback and guidance to students to foster their growth and improvement as pilots.
• Develop and implement training plans to meet individual student needs and objectives.
• Create a positive learning environment that promotes confidence, discipline, and a commitment to safety.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Licensing and Certifications:
• Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
• Flight Instructor License
• Federal Aviation Authorization
Experience:
• Minimum of 4,000 total flight hours
• Experience flying Diamond aircraft preferred, but not required
Medical and Physical Requirements:
• Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
• Height: 175 cm (approximately 5'9")
• Weight: 75 kg (approximately 165 lbs)
Education:
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of aircraft operations, systems, and maintenance, particularly related to Diamond aircraft.
• Ability to identify technical issues and collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure aircraft readiness.
Leadership and Communication Skills:
• Proven experience in leading and motivating teams, particularly in a training environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, fellow instructors, and management.
• Ability to make decisions quickly and effectively, particularly in high-pressure situations related to safety.
Language Proficiency:
• English Language Proficiency certificate (ELP)
