A florist is responsible for creating and arranging floral displays, bouquets, and various floral arrangements. This role requires creativity, a strong understanding of different types of flowers, and excellent customer service skills. Florists work in various settings, including flower shops, floral departments of retail stores, event planning companies, and specialized floral design studios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Floral Arrangement:
• Create unique and visually appealing floral arrangements for various occasions such as weddings, funerals, birthdays, and corporate events.
• Select and arrange flowers, greenery, and other decorative elements to achieve the desired aesthetic.
• Customer Service:
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate floral arrangements based on their preferences, budget, and the occasion.
• Provide expert advice on flower care, handling, and maintenance.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of fresh and artificial flowers, vases, and other floral supplies.
• Place orders with suppliers to replenish stock and ensure a variety of options for customers.
• Design Trends:
• Stay updated on current floral design trends and incorporate them into arrangements.
• Experiment with new styles and techniques to offer innovative and attractive designs.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure the freshness and quality of flowers by inspecting deliveries and removing any damaged or wilted flowers.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to preserve the integrity of floral products.
• Event Support:
• Collaborate with event planners and other professionals to create floral designs that complement the overall theme of events.
• Provide on-site support for event setup and installation of floral arrangements.
• Sales and Marketing:
• Assist with marketing efforts to promote floral products and services.
• Contribute to the development of promotional displays and participate in sales initiatives.
• Customer Relations:
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and word-of-mouth referrals.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in floral design or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of various types of flowers, foliage, and floral design techniques.
• Creativity and artistic flair for designing visually appealing arrangements.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical stamina, as the role may involve lifting and arranging heavy floral arrangements.
• Knowledge of flower care and maintenance.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training or certification in floral design is a plus.

Work Environment:

Florists typically work in retail settings, flower shops, or event venues. The job may require standing for extended periods, and weekend or holiday work may be necessary during peak seasons.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
