Overview:
The Fleet Manager will oversee crew recruitment and management, ensure compliance with vessel registration requirements, and manage the fleet's operational needs. This role is central to the efficient coordination of vessel operations, crew readiness, and regulatory adherence, ensuring that all vessels operate safely, compliantly, and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Crew Recruitment, Coordination, and Offboarding:
- Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of crew members in line with operational requirements and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate crew scheduling and assignments, ensuring each vessel is staffed according to operational demands and rotation schedules.
- Oversee the offboarding process for departing crew members, ensuring proper handover, debriefing, and compliance with company policies.
2. Vessel Flag, Class, and Certification Management
- Maintain up-to-date records and renewals for all vessel flags, class certificates, and other required registrations.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and classification societies to ensure all certifications are current and in compliance with international maritime standards.
- Coordinate inspections, audits, and surveys, addressing any compliance issues or required modifications promptly.
3. Fleet Operational Coordination:
- Monitor and manage vessel movements, coordinating with port authorities, agents, and operations teams to optimize schedules and minimize downtime.
- Manage and prioritize vessel requirements for spares, repairs, and maintenance, working with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and service.
- Oversee maintenance scheduling and inspections, ensuring all vessels are seaworthy and meet operational standards.
4. Regulatory Compliance and Safety Management:
- Ensure fleet adherence to international and regional safety standards and regulatory requirements, including environmental protocols.
- Oversee the implementation of safety procedures and crew training to foster a safety-first culture aboard all vessels.
- Maintain accurate records of vessel audits, safety inspections, and compliance documents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
5. Inventory and Resource Management:
- Manage and track inventory of critical spare parts, LSAs and other safety equipment, and supplies to prevent shortages and support efficient fleet operations.
- Develop cost-effective strategies for the procurement and maintenance of vessel resources, balancing quality with budget constraints.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to secure essential resources, negotiating with vendors and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.
6. Performance Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on fleet status, crew assignments, vessel compliance, and maintenance activities for management review.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive document management system to track vessel certifications, crew credentials, maintenance records, and compliance documents.
- Use fleet management software and tools to monitor KPIs, track vessel performance, and make data-driven recommendations for fleet improvement.

Pay: From AED8,000.00 per month
Experience:
• Fleet Coordination and Management: 2 years (Preferred)
• Vessel certification processes and maritime regulations: 2 years (Preferred)
• Crew management, onboarding, offboarding: 2 years (Preferred)
