Job Summary:
The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and care of our luxury fleet of cars. This role ensures that all vehicles are in optimal condition, adhere to safety standards, and are ready for service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance Scheduling and Coordination:
• Develop and manage a comprehensive maintenance schedule for the fleet, ensuring all vehicles receive regular servicing and necessary repairs.
• Coordinate with external service providers and in-house technicians to perform routine maintenance and urgent repairs.
2. Inspection and Quality Control:
• Conduct regular inspections of the fleet to identify any issues or areas needing attention.
• Ensure that all vehicles meet company standards for safety, cleanliness, and performance.
3. Record Keeping and Documentation:
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including service dates, repairs performed, and parts replaced.
• Ensure that all vehicle documentation, such as registration and insurance, is up-to-date and compliant with local regulations.
4. Inventory Management:
• Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring that necessary items are always in stock.
• Coordinate with suppliers to order parts and manage relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
5. Cost Management and Budgeting:
• Monitor maintenance costs and work within budget constraints.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or safety.
6. Emergency Response:
• Be available to address emergency maintenance needs and coordinate rapid response to vehicle breakdowns or accidents.
• Develop and implement contingency plans to minimize service disruptions.
7. Team Coordination:
• Work closely with drivers and other team members to ensure they understand and adhere to maintenance protocols.
• Provide training and support to drivers on basic vehicle care and maintenance best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance or a similar role, preferably in a luxury transportation or automotive company.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid UAE driver's license.
