Job Title: Fitout Estimator

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in the Joinery and Fit-out industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, designers, and suppliers.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for joinery and fit-out projects.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and documents to identify scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data for accurate pricing.
• Research and evaluate materials, labor, and subcontractor costs.
• Develop and maintain a database of cost information and pricing trends.
• Present estimates to management and clients, providing clear explanations of cost breakdowns.
• Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects.
• Monitor project budgets and provide recommendations for cost control.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating within the joinery/fit-out industry.
• Proficient in estimating software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong understanding of joinery materials, fabrication processes, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
