: Fit-Out Draftsman (3 Years UAE Experience)

Position: Fit-Out Draftsman
Location: Dubai, JLT
Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out projects within the UAE

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Technical Drawings:
• Develop and produce detailed architectural and interior fit-out drawings for commercial, residential, and retail projects.
• Create shop drawings, technical drawings, and as-built drawings according to project specifications and design guidelines.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, compliant with building codes, and align with the client's design intent.
• Collaboration with Project Teams:
• Work closely with interior designers, architects, engineers, and project managers to produce drawings that reflect project requirements.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project scope, material specifications, and site conditions.
• Participate in design discussions and provide suggestions based on technical drawing requirements.
• Coordination of Design Changes:
• Incorporate any design changes or revisions from the client or project manager into existing drawings.
• Ensure all modifications are tracked and the final set of drawings is up-to-date.
• Material and Finish Schedules:
• Prepare detailed material schedules, specifying finishes, dimensions, and other design elements required for project execution.
• Ensure all schedules align with the design documentation and are properly communicated to contractors.
• Site Visits and Surveys:
• Conduct site surveys to ensure drawings match actual site conditions.
• Provide on-site support for measurement verification and any on-site drawing clarifications required by contractors.
• Quality Assurance:
• Review all drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with UAE construction regulations and standards.
• Ensure all design elements are technically feasible and meet project specifications.
• Software Expertise:
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software to create detailed drawings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in 2D and 3D drawing techniques to present design solutions effectively.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including drawing revisions and technical specifications.
• Provide status reports and updates to project managers regarding the drawing process.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Fit-Out Draftsman in the UAE, with a strong portfolio of completed fit-out projects (commercial, residential, or retail).
• Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software. Knowledge of BIM is a plus.
• Knowledge of Local Codes: Familiarity with UAE building codes and interior fit-out regulations.
• Education: A degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Attention to Detail: Strong ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings and documentation.
