A Fit-Out Engineer specializes in managing and executing interior fit-out projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with design specifications. This role requires technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to achieve desired project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Planning and Management :
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of interior fit-out projects.
• Develop project timelines, schedules, and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for interior designs and layouts.
• Technical Execution :
• Supervise site activities, ensuring work complies with drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Review architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) drawings to ensure coordination with fit-out requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues on-site.
• Quality Assurance and Safety :
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet project quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address discrepancies.
• Enforce health and safety regulations at the project site.
• Stakeholder Coordination :
• Liaise with designers, architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Communicate project updates to clients and address their concerns.
• Manage subcontractors and monitor their performance.
• Documentation and Reporting :
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, and material inventories.
• Prepare snag lists (punch lists) and ensure all issues are rectified before project handover.
• Submit as-built drawings and project completion reports.
• Resource Management :
• Monitor the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
• Ensure optimal utilization of labor, materials, and tools.
• Address any material shortages or delays that may impact the project timeline.
Qualifications
• Education : Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience : 2-5 years of experience in fit-out or interior design projects.
• Skills :
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project.
• Strong understanding of interior finishes, joinery, and MEP integration.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
