Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable Fish Sommelier / Fishmonger to join our fine dining team in Dubai. As a specialist, you will play a crucial role in presenting fresh, high-quality seafood to our customers while ensuring exceptional service and guest communication. Your expertise in seafood preparation, handling, and presentation will enhance our reputation as a trusted source of premium products.

This is a s hort-term contract position of for a period of 4 months .

Candidates must be available to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select, inspect, and present a variety of fresh seafood for guests.
• Display seafood products attractively to maintain visual appeal and freshness.
• Clean, gut, fillet, and portion fish according to customer requests and specifications.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure adequate supplies.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of seafood in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and advice to customers on seafood varieties, cooking methods, and pairings.
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation, ensuring tools and equipment are sanitized regularly.
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to source the freshest and highest-quality seafood from suppliers.
• Handle customer inquiries, orders, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Fish Sommelier / Fishmonger or in a similar role within the seafood or fine dining or luxury hospitality industry.
• Exceptional knowledge of seafood varieties, preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
• Skilled in filleting, cleaning, and portioning fish with precision.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service and interaction.
• Physical stamina and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with HACCP guidelines and other food safety regulations.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: Up to AED15,000.00 per month

• Fish Sommelier / High End Fishmonger: 5 years (Required)
• Fine Dining: 3 years (Required)
