Supports the fire alarm detection maintenance program for facilities, executes maintenance, test and inspection programs using tools, manuals and specialized test equipment. Ensure all monthly, semi-annual, and annual tests are conducted to meet NFPA standards. Removes subcomponents of alarm systems, cleans and replaces to insure proper operation of fire protection systems. Determines fire alarm system state of readiness through testing and inspections recording results. Performs general labor duties associated with the installation, removal and modification of fire alarm systems. Runs wire, installs boxes and devices using a variety of hand held and electrical power tools and equipment. Responsible for preparation and maintenance of reports and logs as needed.
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the "General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities" addendum.

Other Job Requirements Fluor performs installation, inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs, and replacements of fire detection and alarm systems for all fire protection equipment and systems located in AASAB.
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) qualified Fire Alarms Systems personnel perform fire protection systems and exhaust suppression systems (hoods and ducts systems) inspection, maintenance, and repair; fire alarms technicians are embedded within the Electrical Section for daily operations.
Must be NICET Level II certified
Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.
To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
