Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Fire Protection Engineer** to join our team! In this role, you will get to oversee and ensure the safety and compliance of fire protection systems for a large-scale construction management and architectural & engineering services project in Doha, Qatar.

**What You'll Be Doing:**

+ Design, review, and implement fire protection systems and strategies for various construction projects.

+ Conduct fire risk assessments and develop fire safety plans.

+ Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to integrate fire protection solutions.

+ Interpret and apply applicable NFPA Standards, _International Building Code_ (IBC), and other applicable codes and standards (Government Standards - _Unified Facilities Criteria_ , DoS, OBO, etc.).

+ Ensure compliance with local and international fire safety codes and standards.

+ Perform inspections and testing of fire protection systems.

+ Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team.

+ Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to fire safety.

+ Participate in training and emergency response planning.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related field.

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering.

+ EIT and/or Professional Engineering (PE) license in Fire Protection Engineering.

+ Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.

+ Experience with fire protection system design software.

+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

+ Upon sponsorship you must be able to obtain a Qatar ID (QID).

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related field.

+ Experience working on international projects, particularly in the Middle East.

+ Familiarity with local fire safety regulations in Qatar.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

**Minimum Clearance Required to Start:**

Secret
