About Us: Vortexen Dynamics is a leading subcontractor specializing in fire stopping solutions. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Fire Stopping Engineer with extensive experience in the energy sector, particularly in power plants and oil and gas facilities, to join our team.

Job Summary: The Fire Stopping Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of fire stopping systems in energy sector projects. This role involves ensuring that all fire stopping measures comply with industry standards and regulations, and are effectively integrated into the construction and maintenance processes. Additionally, the engineer will engage in business development activities to help grow the company's client base and project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement fire stopping systems for energy sector projects, focusing on power plants and oil and gas facilities.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop fire stopping strategies tailored to project-specific needs.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and UL/B S listed firestop systems or approved engineering judgments (EJ).
• Supervise the installation of fire stopping and smoke sealing materials to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of fire stopping systems into the construction process.
• Perform inspections and testing of installed fire stopping systems to ensure compliance with applicable UL, ASTM, and BS standards.
• Prepare and submit documentation, including method statements, material submittals, and inspection reports.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and on-site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations during the execution of fire stopping works.
• Engage in business development activities , including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building client relationships, and preparing proposals and presentations.
• Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in fire protection engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire stopping work, with a significant portion in the energy sector (power plants and/or oil and gas).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated experience in business development and client relationship management.
• Certification in fire protection engineering (e.g., CFPS, NICET) is preferred.

Pay: From AED3,500.00 per month
