Job Description

As a Fire/Life Safety Systems & Service Technician, you will:

Assist with the commissioning of new fire and life safety systems on construction ensuring seamless integration Assist with testing and inspecting of existing fire and life safety systems Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader Complete commissioning within planned timelines Submit accurate time and expense logs Work overtime when needed Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards Work alongside mentors, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively

Basic Qualifications:

Proven electro-mechanical aptitude (based on previous experience and/or education) and user PC/software skill; proficient in Microsoft Office Understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management Be able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment,?working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds?unassisted
