KEY Responsibilities:
• Familiarity with various fire and gas detection systems (e.g., smoke detectors, gas sensors, flame detectors).
• Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and best practices applicable to marine environments.
• Willingness to travel and work on vessels stationed at sea for extended periods.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with fire and gas detection systems promptly and effectively.
• Handle and service/test/Repair Pre-Action Systems & Deluge Systems (with associated Control Panel, Detectors, Compressor etc.)
• Full awareness and ability to implement the Planned preventative maintenance (PPM), Corrective Maintenance (CM) & Breakdown Maintenance (BD)
• Experience in Servicing, testing, calibrating of portable gas detectors.
• Experience in Servicing, fault finding, Calibration, installation of fixed gas detection the system in Oil rigs or ships & refinery. Knowledge about Installing, configuring & servicing of wireless gas detection systems.
• Experience in Servicing, Testing, Commissioning, and Installing of fixed fire detection systems.
• Experience Fault rectification of firefighting control systems.
• Experience in PLC and process controls.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new fire and gas detection systems on marine vessels.
• Ensure compliance with relevant maritime regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Implement safety protocols and procedures during maintenance activities to minimize risks to personnel and equipment.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Proven experience as a Fire and Gas Technician, ideally within the marine or offshore industry.
Minimum Qualifications
• Technical diploma/ITI or certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum Experience
• Minimum 1-2-year experience Preferred
Salary Package- AED 3500 - 4500
