Fire & Gas Technician

: As a Fire & Gas Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Fire and Gas detection and protection systems. Your responsibilities include:

System Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Perform calibration and fault diagnostics of Fire and Gas systems.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and service various gas and flame detectors (e.g., Honeywell, Dragger, Detcon, Crowcon).

Handle systems like Deluge, CO2, NOVEC, INERGEN, and FM-200 suppression systems.

System Knowledge:

Interpret plant Fire and Gas system layouts, cause and effect diagrams, and loop sheets.

Service smoke detectors, manual call points, beam detectors, HSSD, and VESDA systems.

Understand tank protection systems and foam protection systems.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of Fire and Gas layouts and maintenance documentation.

Familiarity with Permit to Work (PTW) procedures for oil & gas plant safety.

Root cause analysis for system failures and corrective actions.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or ITI in Engineering.

Minimum experience:

4 years for Engineering graduates.

6 years for Diploma holders.

8 years for ITI holders.

Hands-on expertise in modern Fire and Gas systems in Oil & Gas, Refinery, or Petrochemical environments.

Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Ability to manage site coordination activities and report to the team leader or project engineer.
