Job Description

Financial planning:
  • Collaborate with management to develop financial plans and strategies to achieve the Company\'s goals
Billing and Invoicing:
  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers accurately and timely
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients\' billing issues
  • Maintain updated records of invoices, contracts, and other billing documents
Collections:
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging to ensure timely collections
  • Contact clients to follow up on outstanding payments
  • Negotiate payment plans and terms with delinquent customers, if necessary
Cash Reconciliation:
  • Apply cash receipts to appropriate customer accounts promptly and accurately
  • Reconcile discrepancies between invoiced amounts and payments received
  • Reconcile petty cash transactions regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness
Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and record inventory transactions including purchases, usage, and adjustments
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies
  • Perform regular physical inventory counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Monitor and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory
  • Calculate and maintain accurate costs for inventory items (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, weighted average)
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare financial analysis to management (e.g., financial statements, pricing analysis, AR/Inventory aging reports and other financial reports as needed)
  • Analyse accounts receivable, inventory, petty cash data to identify trends and potential issues
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve cash flow, reduce bad debt and slow-moving or obsolete inventory
  • Prepare and submit petty cash reports and reconciliations
Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Respond to customer or supplier inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Tax Compliance and Audit Support:
  • Ensure compliance with the UAE Tax regulations by preparing and filing tax returns accurately and on time
  • Internal and external controls: assist in preparation and coordination with auditors by providing documents and explanations
  • Ensure compliance with the Company\'s policies and procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, Finance or relevant field
  • 3 to 5 years\' experience as an accountant or related field
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting (financial modelling is preferred)
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in tracking and reconciliation
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to maintain confidentiality of financial information
