ChampionX has an immediate need for a Financial Accountant (12 months temporary position) to join our Finance team in Dubai, UAE . In this role you will assist towards Department and Company goals while taking ownership of all daily, monthly, and annual finance tasks assigned to you. You will report to the Senior Manager Finance.

What You Will Do:
• Follow safety policies to provide a safe workplace for all employees and supports the guiding principles of Goal Zero to continually improve the plant's safety, health and environmental performance, security, design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products. Drive culture of safety; report safety observations / incidents.
• Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by "doing it right the first time" and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties, in our drive continuous improvement.
• Complete the month-end closure procedures and activities.
• Co-ordinating with all stakeholders to complete books of accounts (local as well as US GAAP), reconcile, and report as per corporate requirements.
• Day to day Accounting and bookkeeping.
• Balance sheet examination through preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliation on monthly basis.
• VAT/WHT/Payroll Tax Filings. Manage and monitor other taxation requirements with local and corporate tax team.
• Support in ensuring Internal Controls is implemented and perform self-assessment.
• Monthly management accounts reporting supported with all the back-ups, balance sheet recon, monthly P&L trend analysis and variance analysis etc.
• Managing the working capital with focus on DSO and DPO and preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly cash flows and other day-to-day treasury/banking-related activities.
• Handling Accounts payable and other day-to-day accounting and controlling activities and coordination with stakeholders on ad-hoc queries.
• Intercompany balance reconciliation and timely settlement.
• Support on US GAAP Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reporting,
• Facilitation of Internal and External audit
• Support on the implementation of the company's policies and procedures.
• Always work ethically to ensure the company remains compliant to all local, national, and international legislation.
• Taking part in the continuous improvement initiatives and opportunity to develop knowledge in all aspects of Close Consolidation and Financial Administration.
• Support office administration activities when required.
Minimum Education and Experience:
• Professional qualifications desired (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent or part qualified) with outstanding communication skills
• 5 years' experience in a similar role Accounting/Finance and Audit role.
• Hands-on attitude and able to prioritize work and advise the team on the best course of action to meet the company's objectives.
• Keep Internal/SOX controls while performing day-to-day duties.
• Result-oriented and supporter of accounting and finance best practices
• A positive attitude is paramount.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office (particularly Microsoft Excel)
Preferred Experience:
• SAP experience preferred and would be an advantage.
• Conversion from US GAAP to IFRS or vice versa
• Advanced MS Office skills
