They ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with company policies, and assist in maintaining the financial health of the property. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of hotel operations.Key Responsibilities
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management.
Assist in the preparation of the hotel's annual budget and forecasts.
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
Oversee invoice processing, payments, and vendor reconciliation.
Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of receivables.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing systems.
Coordinate with HR and ensure accurate payroll processing.
Maintain payroll records and resolve payroll-related queries.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
Monitor daily cash flow and bank reconciliations.
Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage cash reserves.
Supervise and train junior finance staff, including accounts clerks.
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure accuracy in the teamxe2x80x99s work.
Work closely with other departments (e.g., Front Office, F&B, Procurement) to manage financial transactions and ensure smooth operations.
Assist department heads in understanding their budgets and controlling costs.
Desired Skill & Expertise:
Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA is a plus).
Minimum of 3xe2x80x935 years of experience in hotel finance or accounting roles.
Proficiency in hotel accounting systems (e.g., Opera, Sun Systems, or other PMS/ERP software).
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial software.
