Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Finance Officer to join our team in the logistics and shipping industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance and accounting, with specific knowledge and expertise in financial management within the logistics sector. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Cost Control: Monitor and analyze costs related to logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Monitor and report on financial performance metrics, including cost per mile, fuel costs, and operational expenses.
• Financial Reporting: Meet month end Group reporting deadlines
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations specific to the logistics and shipping industry.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Petty Cash Management: Mange petty cash for all operations dept.
• ERP Systems: Utilize ERP system for processing financial transactions, reporting, and data analysis.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including vendors, clients, and financial institutions.
• Audit Preparation: Coordinate and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles within the logistics and shipping industry.
• Thorough understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations applicable to logistics & Shipping operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, and ERP software.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Finance/Accounting: 4 years (Preferred)
