Job Description

Our client, a leading construction and leisure entity is now seeking a Qualified Finance Manager to lead their finance operations in Muscat. This is an exciting and pivotal role for the business and will be based in their corporate offices in Muscat. The role will be responsible, but not limited to: Implementing Board visions through business conduct to achieve profitable operation and secure continuity and growth of the company. Full responsibility for the financial function and operation of the company including audit (statutory & internal & AUP), consolidation of financial, valuations and financial modelling. Implementation of all policies and procedure set-out by the Board of Directors. Ensuring that the company's structure is aligned to the company's business strategy. Preparation of an annual business plan, forecasted budgets, cash flow and profit. Monitoring the business operation and keeping the Board informed of any critical issues. Ensuring suitable management systems are in place to achieve the budget and quality constraints. Managing business risk throughout all aspects of the company's activities. Managing relationship with banks, institutions towards borrowing and banking requirement of the company. Developing financial projection as required for borrowing, public offering, REITs, etc. Developing business relationships with strategic partners. Developing internal systems, procedures and practices in line with the group standards and designed to continuality enhance the efficiency of the company's activities. Ensuring that throughout all areas of the company's activities such as business development, planning, legal, finance, IT, etc. are well coordinated to ensure that the management system is in place to achieve company strategy and target. Providing training and development performance evaluation and appraisals to the staff to enhance qualifications, motivations and belonging to the company. Building and implementing IFRS 9, 15 and 16 model and its follow up. Develop and implement valuation model and coordinate with valuation firms in line with IFRS 13. To be considered, candidates must be Chartered Accountants (CA, CPA or ACCA), have a minimum of 8 years experience and experience working with Big 4 (statutory audit preferred). Our client is open on nationality but bilingual candidates are preferred and previous GCC experience is essential. A good understanding of accounting standards applicable for the construction industry, a sound understanding of VAT compliance & implementation and specific Oman Tax Calculation is also required.
