:We are working with a prestigious international law firm based in Dubai, dedicated to providing top-tier legal services to their diverse clientele across the GCC region. They are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join their team. In this role, you will oversee the general accounting function of our business, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Furthermore, you will manage a team of accountants and will be responsible for the overall financial health of the firm. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VAT, audit, and corporate taxation, with a background in law firms or, alternatively, consulting/advisory or other professional services firms in the UAE.Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring efficient and accurate performance of all financial functions.
Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and manage VAT filings and audits.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the firms assets.
Manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Oversee corporate taxation matters and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Develop and monitor financial strategies and performance metrics to achieve business objectives.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Continuously improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of management experience in the UAE.
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, audit procedures, and corporate taxation.
Proven experience in a law firm or, alternatively, in consulting/advisory or other professional services firms.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
