Job Description

Job Summary: The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the financial health of the hotel. This includes overseeing financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and reporting activities. The Finance Manager ensures that the hotel's financial practices comply with all relevant laws and regulations and provides strategic financial input to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning and Analysis:
• Develop and maintain financial models to support the hotel's business planning and forecasting processes.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Lead the annual budgeting process, including the preparation of detailed budget plans.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
• Update forecasts regularly based on changing business conditions.
• Accounting and Compliance:
• Oversee the daily operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting standards.
• Conduct regular internal audits and coordinate external audits as required.
• Cash Management:
• Manage the hotel's cash flow, including monitoring bank balances and forecasting cash requirements.
• Ensure timely collection of receivables and manage vendor payments.
• Maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
• Taxation and Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and filing requirements.
• Liaise with tax advisors and government authorities as needed.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes in the hotel's financial practices.
• Team Management:
• Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training and development needs.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
• Strategic Initiatives:
• Provide financial input for strategic initiatives, including capital investment projects, cost-saving measures, and revenue-enhancement strategies.
• Participate in business development activities, such as evaluating new business opportunities and conducting financial due diligence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA/CFA preferred).
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and tax regulations.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
