Job Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting within the food and beverage and catering industry. The role includes managing financial operations, analyzing financial performance, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Planning and Analysis:
• Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to optimize profitability.
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies for new projects and expansions.
• Cost Control and Analysis:
• Monitor food and beverage costs and implement cost-saving measures.
• Ensure proper allocation of costs and conduct variance analysis.
• Track inventory costs and oversee inventory management systems.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
• Monitor cash flow and manage liquidity to meet operational needs.
• Develop strategies for cash flow optimization and capital investment planning.
• Manage banking relationships and oversee financial transactions.
• Internal Controls and Compliance:
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and financial reporting standards.
• Coordinate with auditors for external audits and address audit findings.
• Team Leadership and Collaboration:
• Supervise and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and sales teams to align financial strategies with business goals.
• Provide training and support to department managers on financial management practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the food and beverage and catering industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and MS Excel (advanced).
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret financial data and develop actionable insights.
• Knowledge: Thorough understanding of financial regulations, cost accounting, and inventory management.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
