Finance Manager (Perfume Industry)

Job Overview:

Gulf Orchid Perfume Company is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the daily financial operations, ensuring financial stability and operational efficiency. The role will focus on financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and cash flow management. Additionally, the Finance Manager will contribute to strategic financial planning and forecasting to support the company's growth and maintain profitability within the competitive perfume industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare, analyse, and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports to senior management. Offer recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and profitability based on detailed financial analysis.

Budgeting & Cost Management:

Oversee the preparation and tracking of the company's annual budget, ensuring that all departments remain within budget limits. Manage production costs, including fragrance creation and packaging, ensuring cost calculations are accurate and up to date. Develop and implement effective cost control measures to optimize margins and improve operational performance.

Cash Flow Management:

Monitor daily cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability, taking into account seasonal changes in demand within the perfume market. Develop cash flow forecasts, providing recommendations to optimize working capital and improve cash flow efficiency. Maintain financial stability by ensuring proper management of accounts payable, receivable, and inventory.

Compliance & Audit:

Oversee the internal auditing process and ensure timely financial documentation and controls. Manage corporate tax filings and ensure adherence to Vat regulations.

Risk Management:

Identify financial risks arising from raw material price fluctuations, currency exchange, and changes in market demand, developing strategies to mitigate these risks. Ensure the company remains financially stable and sustainable despite market volatility.

Team Leadership & Supervision:

Lead, supervise, and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and skill development. Provide training to the finance team on financial processes, reporting, and cost management. Ensure compliance with financial policies and maintain effective operations within the finance team.

Strategic Planning & Forecasting :

Lead the company's strategic financial planning by providing comprehensive insights into cost control, cash flow optimization, and profitability enhancement. preparation of financial forecasts, ensuring they align with operational needs and market conditions in the perfume industry.

System & Process Improvement:

Lead the evaluation and improvement of financial systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency, reduce financial risks, and implement automation tools and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) to streamline operations and ensure accuracy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial position within the manufacturing or product-based industry, preferably in the perfume or cosmetics sector. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws. Expertise in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting. Proficient in financial software tools . Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable recommendations. Detail-oriented with a focus on operational efficiency and accuracy. Proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
