As the Accountant for FPS, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. Your role will involve managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support decision-making and drive sustainable growth across all entities. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing HR functions in compliance with Dubai rules and regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning and Analysis:
• Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to support the company's long-term goals and objectives.
• Conduct financial analysis, including budget variance analysis, profitability analysis, and forecasting, to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit findings.
• Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes and accounting standards, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Budget Management:
• Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop comprehensive budgets aligned with strategic objectives.
• Monitor budget performance throughout the year, identifying variances and implementing strategies to achieve financial targets.
• Provide full marketing budget breakdown.
• Closely monitor the effectiveness of every dirham spent on marketing, ensuring all marketing expenses are fully utilized and yield measurable results.
• Regularly liaise with management to discuss marketing strategies and budget allocations, ensuring alignment with overall financial strategies.
Cash Flow Management:
• Manage cash flow forecasting and optimization, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet operational needs and support growth initiatives.
• Implement cash management strategies, including monitoring cash balances, optimizing cash flow timing, and managing banking relationships.
• Rigorously monitor and question every payment made, ensuring each expense is justified and contributes to the company's objectives.
• Strictly manage cash flow, ensuring all payments from customers are tracked and pursued aggressively to maintain liquidity.
• Monitor the performance of each staff member against financial metrics, addressing any discrepancies or inefficiencies immediately.
• Manage all vendors and suppliers, including ordering bulk quantities of products or items.
Financial Operations:
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls.
• Manage payroll processing and employee benefits administration, including compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Prepare invoices for clients and vendors ensuring they are in line with contracts and agreements.
• Ensure all bills are settled on time and that payments on behalf of the company are scrutinized for accuracy and necessity.
• Review and approve financial transactions, invoices, and expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Implement systematic payment authorization, creating and maintaining a robust signatory system for payment authorization to ensure all expenditures are approved by upper management.
• Track the cost and profit of each project.
• Oversee company assets such as car payments, including Salik, monthly payments, service schedules, and insurance follow-ups.
Strategic Financial Planning:
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and drive business growth.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, capital allocation decisions, and financing options to maximize shareholder value and long-term profitability.
• Implement a system to ensure that all company expenditures, particularly those related to staff and marketing, are within budget and lead to productive outcomes.
• Work with management to maximize company profits by regularly reviewing and optimizing spending across all departments.
HR:
• Coordinate employee benefits administration, including health insurance, gratuity, and leave entitlements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Ensure VAT and other taxes are paid on time. Act as the primary liaison with external consulting firms responsible for processing company taxes.
Reporting:
• Provide daily reports on profit and lost
• Produce regular reports detailing financial performance, highlighting areas for improvement and ensuring strict compliance with financial policies.
• Produce monthly and quarterly reports to the management team detailing ways to improve.
• Provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to inform future strategy adjustments.
• Provide insights and progress updates to management on a weekly basis.
• Contribute to monthly marketing reports to help with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain consistent communication with upper management to ensure transparency and alignment on financial matters.
• Report to management on a daily/weekly basis for any assistance, guidance, or support required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
