Roles and Responsibilities
1\. Financial and Strategic Planning
• Develop long-term and short-term financial strategies to achieve corporate objectives.
• Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze financial risks and establish mitigation plans.
2\. Financial Operations Management
• Oversee cash flows and liquidity management.
• Establish financial policies and procedures to control expenses and manage costs.
• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local financial regulations.
3\. Financial Control and Audit
• Review financial statements to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to maintain financial compliance.
• Develop internal control systems to prevent fraud and financial discrepancies.
4\. Investment and Financing Management
• Analyze potential investments and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Oversee financing activities, including loans and banking transactions.
• Negotiate with banks and financial institutions for loans and credit facilities.
5\. Tax and Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure adherence to local tax regulations (such as VAT and corporate taxation).
• Prepare tax reports and coordinate with regulatory and governmental authorities.
• Stay updated on legal and financial regulatory changes affecting business operations.
6\. Financial Team and Accounting Management
• Lead and guide accounting and financial teams to ensure operational efficiency.
• Provide training and professional development for finance team members.
• Enhance financial processes through digital transformation and financial technology adoption.
7\. Decision Support for Senior Management
• Deliver financial reports and analyses to assist in strategic decision-making.
• Advise on business expansion, growth opportunities, and new investments.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance.
8\. Liaison with Regulatory and Banking Entities
• Manage relationships with banks, investors, and governmental bodies.
• Comply with the requirements of the UAE Central Bank and the Securities and Commodities Authority.
• Submit financial reports and disclosures as mandated by regulatory authorities
Qualifications and Required Skills
1\. Academic and Professional Qualifications
Educational Degrees:
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration .
• A Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in finance is preferred.
Work Experience:
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with leadership experience in a managerial role.
• Experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and UAE financial regulations.
